JOURNEY REWARDS
Journey Rewards Terms & Conditions
Journey Rewards is The Norns Journeys’ member referral and travel credit program. It allows eligible members to earn Travel Credit through qualifying referrals and gives eligible new members a separate one-time Welcome Credit when they join through a valid referral.
Travel Credit and Welcome Credit are different benefits and follow different rules.
-
Journey Rewards membership
Journey Rewards membership may have one of the following statuses:
Pending — membership is not yet active. Referral sharing, earning, and redemption are not available.
Active — the member may share referrals and use available Travel Credit. New Travel Credit may be earned once the member meets the current Journey Rewards verification requirements.
Suspended — referral sharing, earning, and redemption are temporarily unavailable. Existing valid Travel Credit and account history remain preserved.
Archived — the account is no longer participating in Journey Rewards. Referral sharing, earning, and redemption are unavailable, but valid account and Travel Credit history remain preserved.
Membership Status and Verification Status are separate. An Active member may still have verification under review.
-
Referral ID
Each eligible Journey Rewards member receives a permanent Referral ID.
Active members may share their Referral ID or referral link with others. A referral must be validly connected to the referred traveler for it to qualify under Journey Rewards.
Referral IDs cannot be used for self-referral.
-
Travel Credit from referrals
When a valid referred traveler completes an eligible TNJ journey, the referring member may earn:
₱100 Travel Credit for a first-time TNJ traveler
₱50 Travel Credit for a repeat TNJ traveler
Each referred traveler is evaluated separately.
Sharing a referral, creating an account, booking, or making a payment does not by itself earn Travel Credit. The referred traveler must complete the qualifying journey, and the referring member must meet the applicable Journey Rewards requirements before Travel Credit can be added.
-
Verification and earning
An Active member may share referrals even while their verification is still under review.
Valid referral attribution remains recorded, but new Travel Credit is added only after the referring member satisfies the current Journey Rewards verification requirements.
The referred traveler does not need to complete the referring member’s verification requirements for a valid referral relationship to exist.
If the referred traveler later becomes a Journey Rewards member, their own verification applies to their future Travel Credit earning.
-
Completed, cancelled, and rescheduled journeys
Travel Credit may qualify only after an eligible referred traveler completes their TNJ journey.
A cancelled, no-show, or otherwise non-completed journey does not earn referral Travel Credit.
If a journey is rescheduled, the referral remains under evaluation until the journey is completed.
-
Travel Credit Wallet
Earned Travel Credit is added to the member’s Journey Rewards Wallet.
Travel Credit:
has no cash value;
cannot be transferred to another member;
may be used only according to the current Journey Rewards redemption rules.
Welcome Credit does not enter the Wallet and is not Travel Credit earnings.
-
Using Travel Credit
Travel Credit may be applied to an eligible traveler balance after the required downpayment has been confirmed.
The amount that may be used is the lowest of:
the member’s available Travel Credit balance;
₱1,000; or
the eligible remaining traveler balance.
The required ₱300 downpayment per traveler remains a separate actual payment and cannot be replaced by Travel Credit.
Travel Credit cannot reduce the traveler’s remaining obligation below ₱0.00.
-
Travel Credit after cancellation or reschedule
If applied Travel Credit is affected by a financially final cancellation or no-show, the exact applied amount is restored to the member’s Travel Credit balance.
If the journey is rescheduled, the applicable Travel Credit treatment is preserved with the rescheduled journey.
-
Welcome Credit
A ₱50 Welcome Credit is available as a one-time benefit to a new Journey Rewards member who successfully joins through a valid member referral.
Previous travel with TNJ does not disqualify a person from Welcome Credit. Eligibility is based on becoming a new Journey Rewards member through a valid referral.
The referral must be accepted during the member’s first successful Journey Rewards signup. Welcome Credit cannot be added retroactively after signup.
Welcome Credit is separate from Travel Credit and does not count as reward earnings.
-
Using Welcome Credit
Welcome Credit applies automatically to the eligible remaining balance of the member’s first TNJ journey after enrollment, once the required ₱300 downpayment has been confirmed.
The amount applied is the lower of:
₱50, or
the eligible remaining traveler balance.
If less than ₱50 can be used, the unused portion expires. It does not carry forward, enter the Wallet, or convert into Travel Credit.
When both Welcome Credit and Travel Credit apply to the same booking, the order is:
required downpayment → Welcome Credit → Travel Credit
Neither credit is treated as Payment Received.
-
Welcome Credit after cancellation or reschedule
If the qualifying journey is cancelled or becomes a no-show, the Welcome Credit benefit is voided and does not create a new Welcome Credit entitlement.
If the journey is rescheduled, the applicable Welcome Credit entitlement or application is preserved with the rescheduled journey.
-
Suspended and Archived members
No new Travel Credit is posted while a member is Suspended.
If an otherwise-valid referral reaches qualifying completion during suspension, the referral record remains preserved and may be evaluated after the member returns to an eligible Active and verified state, provided the underlying referral remains valid.
Archiving an account does not silently erase valid already-earned Travel Credit. Existing balance and history remain preserved while redemption is unavailable.
Any removal or reversal of earned value requires a valid, recorded reason.
-
Reward records
Journey Rewards records may be reflected as:
Pending,
Approved,
Redeemed,
Cancelled, or
Reversed
depending on the lifecycle of the referral, Travel Credit, or related journey.
TNJ keeps Journey Rewards activity and corrections traceable. Updates, reversals, and corrections do not silently erase the history behind them.
-
Fair use and invalid referrals
Journey Rewards is intended for genuine referrals.
Self-referrals, invalid referral attribution, duplicate or manipulated activity, fraud, or other abuse may prevent Travel Credit from being earned or may result in an invalid transaction being corrected or reversed.
TNJ will not invent additional penalties beyond the rules governing the program and the circumstances of the affected transaction.
-
Changes to Journey Rewards
TNJ may revise, suspend, or end Journey Rewards when needed.
Where practical, reasonable notice will be provided for material changes. Changes apply from their stated effective date and are intended to operate prospectively.
A later program change will not silently erase valid Travel Credit that has already been earned or retroactively remove a valid Welcome Credit entitlement or application.
TNJ may still correct errors, reverse invalid transactions, address fraud or abuse, or make changes required by law or regulation. Any such correction should remain traceable in the member’s Journey Rewards history.
